Banoffie Toastie

For the sugared almonds:

  1. mix together icing sugar and almonds with a little water until nicely coated.
  2. Bake in an 180C oven for 15 minutes or until the almonds are golden and crusty.
  3. Allow to cool and chop to desired size.

For the French toast: 

  1. Combine the eggs, cream, sugar and cinnamon together.
  2. Dip in your bread and fry until golden in a medium pan sprayed with cooking spray.

To assemble toastie:

  1. Place 1 slice toast on plate, spread with caramel and top with sliced banana.
  2. Then spoon on cream and chocolate sauce.
  3. Repeat twice and then finish with chopped almonds.
